3)PRAYER TIME

As we look around us at the social and political landscape of our time it is so easy to be disheartened. The pressures and worries of the world draw our attention ever narrower fixating us, lest we are careful, only on the negative and the broken. As I have felt that pull this week, a few verses and hymns have drawn my gaze back to a right perspective. Three stood out so clearly
"My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness."
"Cease striving and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted on the Earth." Ps. 46:10
"Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice." Phil. 4:4
As we turn to prayer for one another, let us come before the throne of our eternal God secure in His power, love, and wisdom.
Consider praying for our nation, for the hurts and ills within our congregation, and for the lost around us who are building their lives on sinking sand. Lastly, pray for the working of the Holy Spirit within yourself that you might be strengthened and prepared for the good work that He has prepared for you to do this coming week.
