1)STUDY TIME IN THE WORD

Aaron Lincoln

A) Lesson

Tune into the message prepared for us for this morning by watching the video below.

Study Guide & Followup Questions

What in your life brings you HAPPINESS at this moment?

How can you think about JOY in your life — no matter the circumstances?

What do you feel you have lost in 2020? How have you talked with God about this?

Read Isaiah 61:1-3.  Which phrase(s) in these verses describe how God has blessed you this year? Which phrase(s) best describe how you are thankful for Jesus?

Read Luke 1:39-56.  In what ‘crazy’ situation in your life (or the life of someone you know) was God able to bring JOY — either to you or someone else?

Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16.  What helps you to remember to always be full of JOY?

Having JOY comes more easily when we are watching and listening for God. When have you seen God at work in the middle of life’s craziness?

What situation are you (or someone you know) facing that seems impossible to overcome? How are you reminding yourself of God’s care and unlimited power to help?

Even in the middle of challenges, for what have you found to thank and praise God?

3)PRAYER TIME

(prepared by (Troy Jones)
This week’s Advent word is Joy.  What Christmas Song comes to your mind first - “Joy to the World” was the first one that came to me.
… Joy to the world, the Lord is come …
… Joy to the world, the Savior reigns! ...
Though we are not able to be under the same roof this week I pray you all are finding joy in the Christmas Season.  I hope you can pray for; share your requests with; and share your joy with others this week.
May the arrival of Jesus our Lord be a reason the Christmas Season brings you Joy.
