Hello family,
We are very sorry about this, but we realized today that we didn't follow up with our announcement on Sunday with an email (for those who weren't with us at the Warners). In case you weren't there, or in case you haven't heard, we have opted as a leadership team to cancel Family Camp at Mt. Meadows this year (which would have been this weekend) due to restrictions from the County and a lack of ability to properly prepare for the nuances imposed as a result of COVID-19. In lieu of this, we will be meeting at the home of Ron & Diane Rourke once more in Oak Run at the same time as the past two weeks, 9am. We are looking forward to hearing from Greg Dekker (who would have been speaking at Family Camp anyways). Once more, bring your own lawn chairs and/or blankets and try to maintain social distancing to the best of your ability. Address for the Rourkes: 24416 Raccoon Way Oak Run, CA 96069 Directions (Google Maps) Directions (Printable) Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. Till He returns or calls us home: In Christ Alone, OGBF Elders Email: elders@ogbf.org Join us for what is (Lord-willing) our last service from our homes! As we started, so we still encourage each of you to try to tune in around the same time on Sunday morning if you're able (10am); sometimes the knowledge we are all doing this together at the same time is encouraging in itself!
This week Derrick continues in John, looking at chapters 14-17 this week and our Lord's words to the disciples: "Let not your hearts be troubled." Tune in and watch the video, or if you're unable, download the study guide and read through the transcript for the morning message. OGBF At-Home Service | June 7, 2020 Follow with songs that have been chosen to help you respond to the message and the Word, then finish with a short prayer-time thought from Ron. In case you miss it in the video... ...We are planning to meet next Sunday at the Rourke's house at 9am. We are asking everyone to bring their own chairs and/or blankets (if you don't have one, reach out and we'll ensure we have one for you). We are very excited about this, and (if possible) we're hoping we can have communion as well. The following week, we should be able to meet once again in our normal facilities at the SDA building. Lord be with each and every one of you. Till He returns or calls us home, In Christ Alone. -OGBF Elders Hello family!
I hope this week finds you well. It was such a blessing to see so many of you on Saturday afternoon at Caldwell Park. Regardless of whatever happens and when we can resume meeting together, I think we need to do more park picnic days! This week, Glenn wraps up his three week series he has been leading us in. Tune in to the video recording he's provided as he guides us through the Scriptures this week. Follow along with some songs that are chosen to help you respond to the message through music, or, if you're so inclined, download the Songbook or Hymnal to play and sing along at your own pace. I for one am missing the annual Life Light Rose Sale! But mostly, we are all missing each of you. We hope that these times, as difficult as they can be, are also serving to draw you closer to our Savior. At the beginning of our service today, we have a short video from Dan Reynolds on behalf of the elder board. After this, our message for the day is prepared by Glenn Rank with some study questions to follow. After this, we have songs chosen to follow the message, allowing you to respond in singing to the Word. And finally, some of our most current prayer requests are listed at the end. You can access everything on the web page, including a printable "hymnal" and chord sheets for playing instruments, on the page for today's message up on our website: OGBF At-Home Service | May 10, 2020 We'll meet you around the throne! Till He Returns, or calls us home: OGBF Elders Email: elders@ogbf.org ello once again family!
Never did we think we would spend this much time apart! It has been encouraging to hear from each of you as we have joined together in new ways to connect in spirit and fellowship over the phone, computer, and other means. Mostly, it's been a joy to hear of what you have been learning going through these studies together. So.. here we go, for the (can you believe it) 7th week apart! As always: together in spirit though apart in the flesh! This week Weston Pack will continuing his 3 week study using video devotionals that will be followed by study questions. Songs and Prayer Time will follow, as normal. You can access it by clicking the following link to our page: OGBF At-Home Service | Sunday, April 26th, 2020 Don't forget to leave a comment or discussion at the end! Hope to be together soon! Until then (or He Returns): In Christ Alone, we stand! - OGBF Elders Hello Family!
Join us tomorrow morning as we meet again from our homes, together in spirit though apart in the flesh. You can access it by clicking the following link to our page: OGBF At-Home Service | Sunday, April 19th, 2020* *Message is still uploading as of Saturday Evening 5pm, likely won't be finished till tomorrow morning. Don't forget to leave a comment or discussion at the end! Hope to be together soon! Until then (or He Returns): In Christ Alone, we stand! OGBF Elders Oak Grove Bible Fellowship Email: elders@ogbf.org Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus,
We hope this day finds you all well! Tomorrow, we hope you can join us as we celebrate the triumph of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua, The Word Made Flesh, Messiah, Redeemer, Victor Over Sin and Grave! Though apart in body, we will be present together around the Throne in Spirit tomorrow. We have a 5-part service worked out for you to follow at your own pace tomorrow, as previously explained, starting with a SonRise Service video (with Steve Kerns) and later followed by a Bible Study put together by Jerry Boyle. Go to the web-page for the day by clicking here: Resurrection Sunday | April 12th, 2020 If you're unable to follow along on the website, you can download the main Bible Study guide and hymnal here (though it won't include the earlier parts of the service). We look forward to fellow-shipping together again soon, as Churchill often says, "If the Lord should tarry to come till then!" We love and miss you all. Fix your eyes on Him and take the opportunity to rest in Him on this wonderful day! - The Elders of Oak Grove Bible Fellowship Hi Family!
Tomorrow will mark the 4th week we have been apart from each other (at least, all together). But we are still uniting in Spirit, and that encourages my heart! We will "meet" again tomorrow online, using the same Bible Study, Songs, and Prayer Times. If you're able to call up or video chat with someone else, do it! It's not the best, but if you're able to, take a moment to discuss the study on the web page for that day, which can be found here: OGBF At-Home Service for April 5, 2020 It's recommended you go through the service there, as links to the songs and accompanying materials are much easier to get to. (I'm attaching the Bible Study as well as two versions of the "Hymnal" for this week, one larger, one condensed that should print in half-page booklet format) This week is Palm Sunday, and we turn our eyes to the Passion Week and Resurrection Sunday next week. We will have something a little special planned for next Sunday, though we will likely still have to meet in this same format still. Stay tuned for updates!
