3)PRAYER TIME
(prepared by Ron Rourke) The Israelites always had access to the Lord in prayer. (Deut 4:7)
In Isaiah 56:7 we are told that God’s house is a house of prayer.
Also, in Mathew 21:13 Jesus said, “It is written, my house will be called a house of prayer,”
Paul reminds us to pray continually. (IThes. 5:17)
In ITim. 5:5 Paul gives an example of praying continuously and what it looks like.
In Philemon Paul prays that we would share our faith and have full understanding of what good things we have in Christ.
In Psalm 109:4 David declares “I am a man of prayer”.
In Colossians 4:2 Paul once again reminds us to “Devote ourselves to prayer, and being watchful and thankful”.
In Acts 1:14 Luke tells us about the apostles being together and constantly in prayer. Also, in Acts 2:42 we are told by Luke that the New Testament church was together and devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
In Acts 4:24 they raised their voices together in prayer to God.
In Acts 16:25 Luke tells us a story about Paul and Silas in jail praying, singing, and others were listening to them. Great story!
I encourage you all to pray for all those prayer requests on our prayer chain. I hope you all receive those emails from our prayer chain. It is a great tool for helping us to all be praying for one another. We also, need to be praying for those people who don’t know the Lord. We are called to be salt.
May God be with you all, as we serve Him together always in prayer. Amen
